On the 2012 Open Weekend, Active Ashfield organised a relay of the Ashfield Beacon. The event included many of the people of Ashfield who have achieved either in sport or through increasing their levels of physical activity.

Active Ashfield has been using the spirit of the Olympics to promote physical activity in the Ashfield area since 2008. Here is a sample of some of the events that they have organised in that time.
